Arlenderre is the complete antithesis of everything that contemporary music culture stands for. He works totally outside of the mainstream. He has no management or recording contract. He rarely gives interviews. He won't appear on TV, video or radio, but he tours extensively and has a huge and dedicated following. He is absolutely passionate about his fans and won't have them exploited. Most of his concerts are free, but donations and ticket sales from the the rest of his shows go towards funding the many local and international charities that he supports. He is a leading light in Britain's new underground movement where artistes and musicians have abandoned the charade of today's corporate music industry and refuse to take part in the mockery that it's become.
